Introducing Luca, a part of my new series Children of the Moon, where children and animals harmoniously share a vibrant, dreamlike world. This series began with an idea inspired by “The Butterfly Girl,” an artwork I created for my daughter. With color and magic now flourishing in my life, I wanted to create pieces that capture a child’s pure sense of wonder—like the awe of seeing an animal for the first time.
 
 
Luca invites you into a lush, dreamlike jungle filled with strange and mesmerizing creatures. A gentle albino white dotted giraffe with delicate, elongated features stands beside a peacock whose feathers shimmer in brilliant blues, greens and gold. Towering blooms in warm pinks and oranges surround a child with a serene expression, their eyes holding a sense of curiosity and calm, as though at peace with this wild, beautiful world. Each creature feels both familiar and otherworldly, as if they’ve stepped out of a fairy tale, waiting to be admired and discovered.
 
 
Creating this piece was a labor of love and wonder, made possible by the support of those who collect my work. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who brings my art into their lives, allowing me to live my dream as an artist.
 
This artwork took me months to create, the outcome is timeless. The concept for Children of the Moon was crafted with photography, stock images, and AI, then meticulously transferred onto glass, achieving a unique mixed-media finish. Layers of acrylics, 24k gold leaf, and oil paint give each piece depth and dimension, making the colors glow as if illuminated from within. The result is a vibrant and immersive experience – a portal into a magical realm.
